Synopsis: Carter Moore (@iamcartermoore) and Brooke Howe (@brookehowe) had been dating for a few years when Carter decided he wanted to propose by asking Brooke to “start an adventure for a lifetime.” He decided to surprise her with a trip to Portland, but there was one problem—neither of them had ever been to Portland before. Carter turned to Instagram friends in Oregon for ideas. With their help, Carter was able to plan the entire trip and even find the spot where he would ask Brooke to marry him.
Even though they’d never met the couple in person, two of Carter’s Instagram friends in Portland, Branden Harvey and his friend Colin Cabalka, decided to take Carter and Brooke’s visit to the next level and surprise them with an engagement party. When Carter and Brooke arrived back from Ecola State Park, they were greeted with music, balloons and a whole lot of love.
The video above is about the touching story of their engagement, told for the first time at that party. A warm congratulations to Carter and Brooke on National Proposal Day!

A Tribute to BLADE RUNNER

An experimental film in tribute to Ridley Scott's legendary futuristic film “Blade Runner” (1982). Created by extracting 167,819 frames from 'Blade Runner's final cut version, then assembling all these images to obtain one gigantic image of colossal dimensions : a square of approximately 60,000 pixels on one side alone, 3.5 gigapixels. A virtual camera was then placed above this big picture which creates an illusion, because contrary to appearances, there is only one image. It is in fact the relative movement of the virtual camera flying over this massive image that creates the animated film, a kind of "zootrope effect", like a film in front of a projector. The whole concept echoes one of the signature scenes from the film where "Deckard" (Harrison Ford) analyzes a photograph via voice recognition software.

When opened, Hala Stulecia was the largest reinforced concrete structure in the world. With a diameter of 65m it was home to the largest dome built since the Pantheon in Rome eighteen centuries earlier.
The piece proposed for the Centennial Hall of Wroclaw is based around the notion of timelessness in architecture, and the idea of what future has meant throughout the 20th century.
Taking the 1910’s as a starting point (the dome was erected in 1913), historical and artistic references were used to reveal the architecture of the space. By using references such as Fritz Lang’s Metropolis or the utopian projects of Archigram to confront the different visions of the future at different times, Romain Tardy and Thomas Vaquié were interested in trying to create a vision of a future with no precise time reference. A timeless future.

When opened, Hala Stulecia was the largest reinforced concrete structure in the world. With a diameter of 65m it was home to the largest dome built since the Pantheon in Rome eighteen centuries earlier. The Centennial Hall was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. Taking the 1910’s as a starting point (the dome was erected in 1913), historical and artistic references were used to reveal the architecture of the space, its timeless and, more surprisingly, very modern dimension.
A deliberately minimalist visual aesthetic allowed to highlight the very architecture of Hala Stulecia’s dome and re-affirm its place at the core of the piece.

At the age of seventeen, I made an independent feature-length film called Oceania.
With the help of friends and family, we filmed in the San Francisco Bay Area on a budget less than $4,000.
I learned about cinematography and editing on-the-spot over many long nights and weekends.
We used a volunteer cast and crew and lots of donated equipment and help.
The film finally hit the big screen at the 2008 Cinequest Film Festival, closing with a sold-out audience.
Oceania has since been released for free under a Creative Commons license.

Synopse: Three German provincials are searching for hollywood. So they take the most American values, they can picture: an absurdly vast car, full of fastfood, bottles of oil and camera equipment on the way to California via Route 66. That they never find Hollywood is not the only surprise - on their quest for the American cliches they face unplanned incidents. A documentary drama somewhere between Jackass and Michael Moore, between gloating and satire

Bosko runs into all kinds of wild animals during this jungle visit.

Bosko is an animated cartoon character created by Hugh Harman and Rudy Ising in 1927 and the first recurring character in the Leon Schlesinger cartoon series Looney Tunes. "Although Harman and Ising based Bosko's looks on Felix the Cat, Bosko, like Mickey, got his personality from the blackface characters of the minstrel and vaudeville shows popular in the 1930s. Whereas Disney masked Mickey by making him a mouse, Harman and Ising made Bosko a genuine black boy. Keeping with the stereotypes of the minstrel shows, Bosko is a natural at singing, dancing, and playing any instrument he encounters."He is a curious and lively boy who finds a (musical) solution to every problem, accompanied by his girlfriend Honey and his dog Bruno. The plots are generally weak though. Some Bosko cartoons found on the Internet weren't included in this collection.

Having made several short-films adaptations of Marvel super heroes, David Sarrio is now creating his own : Powerless. This 12 minutes short film, which we're presenting here, is the first step of a project that can be adapted as a TV series or an original feature film, which the director would like to develop in Hollywood.

Après plusieurs adaptations en court métrage de certains super-héros de la Marvel, il était temps pour David Sarrio de créer le sien. C’est pourquoi, il réalise ce court-métrage de 12mn. Un projet développé et adaptable en série tv comme en long métrage original.
