Official Selection 2013 Albuquerque Film and Media Experience, Mile High Horror Festival 'Best of 2012', Official Selection 2012 Mile High Horror Festival, Official Selection 2012 Denver Indie Fest, Official Selection Taos Shortz Fest 2012, Screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2011, Best of the 48 Hour Film Project 2011, Filmapalooza 2011 Runner Up, Best Film 48 Hour Film Project Denver 2010.
'46 Miles' was made as part of the 48 Hour Film Project Denver 2010 and won Best Writing, Best Acting, and Best Film in the Denver competition and was first runner up and won Best Writing against 80 other city winners internationally. The film then screened at the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival in May of 2011!
Competing in the 48 Hour Film Project means that all aspects of the film, from scripting to shooting and editing, were done in one weekend over 48 hours. The genre we pulled from the hat at the beginning of the competition was 'Road Movie', and we had to include the character 'Sherman Woods'. Also required was the a lamp for a prop and the line of dialogue, "He told me not to tell anyone."

«Ce n’est pas la destination qui compte. C’est le voyage. Vous devez surement me prendre pour un fou en me voyant allongé sur cette route... Et vous avez sans doute raison. Le devenir a été la plus belle chose qui me soit arrivée...Je l’ai croisée il y a quelques mois sur une route comme celle-ci. Belle et assez folle pour me redonner l’envie de vivre...»

Synopse: This short film presents the first striking stages of Regis Loisel’ s work ‘Peter Pan’ where he puts forward his dark vision of the world in the way of a fairy tale for adults. The film displays Peter as a child, years before Sir James Matthew Barrie’s one. We all know that Peter Pan is an eternal child who hates adults and whose sworn enemy is captain Crochet. But how did he come to this ? London in 1887 hunger coldness and poverty provide the setting.
Brought up by a tyrannical and alcoholic mother Peter finds his salute only in the dreams and tales which free his imagination. One night, after a violent quarrel with his mother he takes refuge on the docks. There a small and attractive fairy who needs help will take him to the imaginary country.
Thus begins the fabulous story of Peter a child from the poor area of White-Chapel who will later become Peter Pan. He will have to face the awful captain Hook in an everlasting fight for the treasure and survival of the island.

The Gate is an impressive short-film written and directed by Matt Westrup about the human genome modification. What happened is this: in modern society, people are placed under ever increasing pressure to out live, out perform, and out do the competition. Human beings began to overuse performance enhancers or “cognitive performance enhancing products,” created by the pharmaceutical companies. This caused genetic mutations in the populace.

95% of the human genome is composed of redundant gene sequences. They appear to have no known biological function. Could a chance event reactivate them?

Synopse: What if you watch a film and whenever you pause it, you face a painting? This idea inspired Reza Dolatabadi to make Khoda. Over 6000 paintings were painstakingly produced during two years to create a five minutes film that would meet high personal standards. Khoda is a psychological thriller; a student project which was seen as a ‘mission impossible’ by many people but eventually proved possible..

Khoda was directed by Reza Dolatabadi. He started the project early 2006 and I came on board in June of that year as 3D artist and animator with Reza doing all the digital painting and compositing. Music is by Hamed Mafakheri.
When the film was complete it was first shown at the 2008 Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design degree show. Khoda has also been screened at over a dozen festivals world-wide; it won the best animation award at the 2008 Canary Wharf Film Festival in London, best student film at the 2008 Flip Animation Festival and best Student Animation at the Scottish Royal Television Society in 2009.

PostPanic director Mischa Rozema's new short film, Stardust, is a story about Voyager 1 (the unmanned spacecraft launched in 1977 to explore the outer solar system). The probe is the furthest man-made object from the sun and witnesses unimaginable beauty and destruction. The film was triggered by the death of Dutch graphic designer Arjan Groot, who died aged 39 on 16th July 2011 from cancer.
The entire team at PostPanic (the Amsterdam-based creative company) pushed themselves in their own creative post techniques to produce a primarily CG short film crafted with love.
The film's story centers on the idea that in the grand scheme of the universe, nothing is ever wasted and it finds comfort in us all essentially being Stardust ourselves. Voyager represents the memories of our loved ones and lives that will never disappear.
From a creative standpoint, Rozema wanted to explore our preconceived perceptions of how the universe appears which are fed to us by existing imagery from sources such NASA or even sci-fi films. By creating a generated universe, Rozema was able to take his own 'camera' to other angles and places within the cosmos. Objects and experiences we are visually familiar with are looked at from a different point of view. For example, standing on the surface of the sun looking upwards or witnessing the death and birth of a star - not at all scientifically correct but instead a purely artistic interpretation of such events.
Rozema says, 'I wanted to show the universe as a beautiful but also destructive place. It's somewhere we all have to find our place within. As a director, making Stardust was a very personal experience but it's not intended to be a personal film and I would want people to attach their own meanings to the film so that they can also find comfort based on their own histories and lives.'
Rozema turned to his regular audio partner, Guy Amitai, to create the music for the film. 'I approached Guy to make the music because I trust him and knew he would instinctively understand what I wanted to communicate with this film.' Their long-term collaboration over the years helped them explore different musical approaches before finally settling on a musical journey featuring analogue instruments. Amitai explains, 'Once we started working on this project and I told people about Stardust and what Arjan meant to us all, the offers started pouring in. Musician friends and friends-of-friends all wanting to join in and record even the smallest parts. It was an incredibly emotional and personal journey for us all - not something you can professionally detach yourself from.'
